Rentals
C&O Bicycle offers bike rentals for those who wish to explore the Western Maryland Rail Trail and the C&O Canal towpath. Our well-maintained and reliable Trek and Sun rental bikes provide comfort and performance for riders of all levels. Our current fleet includes Trek Dual Sport, Verve 1, and Verve 2 hybrid bikes; Trek Verve+ 2 and Allant+ 7 e-bikes; Trek Electra Cruiser comfort bikes; Sun EZ Tri-Classic recumbent trikes; and one Electra Super Deluxe tandem bike.
We also offer rentals on trailers for kids and pets, BOB trailers, tag-alongs and panniers.
Rentals are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations are recommended for groups of three or more riders. We will only hold reservations until 10am (11am on Sundays). We also offer one-way bike rentals, and shuttle services for bike drop-off/pick-up. Call us for details or to reserve!

*IMPORTANT NOTES:
Renters must leave a valid driver’s license or credit card with us during the rental period.
Renters must be at least 18 or accompanied by an adult.
E-bike riders must be at least 18.
Children are not permitted to ride recumbent trikes or tandem bikes.
All bike rental rates include helmet rental.
All riders under the age of 16 must wear a helmet according to Maryland State law.
Minimum rental charge is one hour. After the first hour, rental times are calculated to the nearest 15-minute increment.
Your bike must be equipped with racks for the panniers. Our rental bikes include racks. We also sell racks if needed.
Please call first to ensure tag-alongs and trailers (including BOB trailers) are compatible with your bike.
All daily/weekly bike rentals include racks and a repair bag containing the following: Tire pump, tool kit, two spare tubes, and a tube repair kit. (One repair bag is provided per rental party.)
